Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) is India’s leading City Gas Distribution (CGD) company, supplying Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in 34 Geographical Areas (GA) across 95 districts and plays a significant role in the nation’s efforts to enhance the share of natural gas in its energy mix. ATGL has formed two wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Ltd (ATEL) and Adani TotalEnergies Biomass Ltd (ATBL) for its E-Mobility and Biomass businesses, respectively. ATEL is leading the shift towards zero emission mobility by building a robust Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country. ATBL is in the business of production of Compressed Biogas (CBG) and organic manure – under “Harit Amrit” brand, by processing Agri-waste and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). ATGL is also in the business of retailing Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) for Transport & Mining (LTM) with vision to decarbonize India’s heavy and long-haul Transport and Mining segments. Further, ATGL has formed a 50:50 joint venture, Smart Meter Technologies Private Limited, which is in the business of manufacturing mechanical and smart gas meters.
ATGL has established Greenmosphere – a Low Carbon Society initiative, that aims to improve the environment by mass plantation, reduction in GHG emissions, and spreading environmental awareness in the communities. With various initiatives, like vision care program, building smart classroom and sanitation facilities, training energy auditors, etc. ESG remains on the forefront company’s vision.
Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL) is one of India’s largest City Gas Distribution (CGD) Company operating in 44 districts in 6 States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab & Madhya Pradesh and 1 Union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. GGL has 27 Geographical Areas authorized by the PNGRB and has its operations spread across 1,75,700 sq. kms. GGL has the largest customer base of Industrial & Commercial customers in India. It has the 2nd highest CNG stations and 3rd largest Domestic customer base in India. GGL is also providing piped natural gas to more than 1,100+ villages (including Tribal, Coastal & other villages).
GGL continues to hold the leadership position in CGD industry in terms of size and scale of operation. The Company has a successful track record of providing uninterrupted services for over 3 decades through a network of more than 43,900 kms. of Natural Gas pipeline, distributing approx. 8.77 mmscmd of Natural Gas in H1 of FY 2025-26. The Company operates over 830 CNG stations and has connected more than 23.4 lakh households, over 16,500 commercial customers and more than 4,400 industrial customers.

The Company has successfully commissioned country’s first pilot project of blending green hydrogen with Piped Natural Gas for the domestic customers on collaboration with NTPC and has been pioneer in introducing new gas-based alliances viz. substitution of LPG with Piped Natural Gas for shipbreaking application at Alang, Bhavnagar in the State of Gujarat. GGL is also actively engaging with CBG producers for increasing CBG offtake into CNG / PNG network and is amongst the 1st CGD companies to offtake Bio Gas (CBG) into its Steel and MDPE pipeline network. GGL has also started providing SMART prepaid meters to its PNG- Domestic customers and is also in the process of connecting one of the largest military establishment with a potential of 11,000+ PNG – Domestic customers.
GGL has also launched FDODO (Full Dealer Owned and Dealer Operated) scheme in November 2023. FDODO is a PPP model for dealer-owned CNG stations, enabling rapid rollout of CNG stations supporting Nation’s clean fuel goals.

Megha City Gas Distribution Private Limited (Megha Gas) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) group- a major infrastructure & energy conglomerate on a global scale. At present, Megha Gas has been authorized by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to lay, build, operate, and expand city gas distribution networks across 22 Geographical Areas (GAs) covering 64 districts in 10 states of India.
To date, Megha Gas has successfully commissioned over 12,000 Inch-Kilometers of pipeline, set up 230+ CNG stations, and gassified more than 1.1 lakh PNG connections, marking significant progress in expanding India’s clean energy infrastructure.
THINK Gas the merged entity of AG&P Pratham and THINK Gas, now operating as THINK Gas, is a leading player in the Indian City Gas Distribution (CGD) business.
