Reporting arrangement and role:

To report to Deputy Director General-ACE on day-to-day functioning. It involves
coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including the knowledge partner,
to ensure the timely receipt and provision of inputs for proper consideration and
incorporation into ACE studies and papers. The role requires in-person presence at the
ACE office.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant with approximately 20 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in computerized accounting is essential.
  • Prior experience with advisory, advocacy and/or consulting firms will be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of statutory compliances, bank reconciliation, and stakeholder
    coordination, including members and financial institutions. Previous experience on
    evaluation of Infrastructure projects, tariff calculations, especially for energy sector
    will be, a consideration.

Job Position and Nature:

  • Designation: Sr. Consultant – Finance, Accounts, and Commercial (Level-5)
  • Employment Type: Temporary, with an initial tenure of up to one year. Extension may
    be granted on the same terms based on organizational requirements, candidate’s
    willingness, and performance.

Compensation: All-inclusive Rs. 2,00,000 p.m. (with indicative break up as below):

  • Monthly remuneration: ₹1,60,000 (Rupees One Lakh Sixty Thousand only)
  • Reimbursement/s : Up to ₹40,000 (Rupees Forty Thousand only)
  • Note: No additional payments or benefits shall be provided under this assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Govt authorities, other relevant stakeholders, accounting firms, tax
    authorities, advisors, and auditors for smooth transaction & compliance.
  • To finalize accounts in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the finalization of preparation of ACE budget, calls for contribution by
    members.
  • Oversee accounting statements, income tax returns and formulation of significant
    accounting policies.
  • Maintaining/review of accounting records, preparation of financial statements, cash
    flow, and coordinate with members for budget preparation, approval, and monitoring.
  • Ensure timely approvals and compliance with banking regulations.
  • Conduct a critical evaluation of financial, commercial, and fiscal issues impacting the
    association and the sector.
  • Prepare and coordinate agendas for company meetings and external/internal
    stakeholder engagements.
  • Financial and fiscal analysis and support in the resolution of key issues relevant to the
    association and its members.
